The Week's Report Tho Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report on the produce markots for tho past week as follow: Wool.—As we feared, a declino in valuo of this stuplo has taken place Binco close of last series, as will bo seen from the following cablegram received from our London manager, dated 20th inst:—Since close oi last sales scoured superior, medium and inferior-greasy, washed and scoured merino, and greasy medium crossbred are M per pound lower; greasy, washed and scoured coarse crossbred are also per pound, lower. Fine greasy crossbied ban declined nearly Id per pound. Greasy crossbred lambs has declined |d to Id per pound. Other descriptions unchanged, Long staple merino is in demand, but short growth is neglected, as also are wools of a faulty character. The total quantity catalogued to dale is 78,000 bales, and tho quantity withdrawn is bales, Sheeiskins,—Fairly large consignments of country dry and butcher's skins havo reached us during the week, but prices obtained in sympathy with the decline in wool have been slightly lower. We quote butcher's crossbreds from 4s to 4s 8d for best; 3s 8d to 4s for medium, country skins 3d to 5Jd per pound,
Hides.-We quote for heavy ox: over GOlbs, pound, light weight from ljd to 2Jd per pound; the demand for heavies' is good.. Talmw and Fat,—Local consignments at Wellington meet with ready sale at for prime tallow 18s to 20s, fair to good 15s to 17s, and rough fat 12s to 18s 6d per cwt, Our last London cable is aB follows: Market irregular and easier, fine mutton tallow is worth 26s and good beef 24s per cwt.
Chaff.— The demand continues good at L 8 ISs per ton, ex trucks, Wellington, sacks returnable, Oats,—The market is quiet; and there is a falling off in the demand dealers prefer to hold small stocks' good short feed is worth 2s 3d to 2 > 4d per bushel, • s Wheat.-Limited demand at §3 6d to 8$ U pec bushel,
Feed Barley.-We quote ut 2s 7d per bushel; not much in request. Maize.—We continue to sell at 83 per bushel,
Grass Seeds,—Quotations remain without alteration, and there is a fair enquiry for rye grass; cocksfoot being' neglected, Frozen Meats Our London manager cabled on 17th inst, as follows: —Canterbury mutton is worth 4£d, amd Wellington mutton BJd per lb; prime New Zealand lambs are worth, per oarcase, 5Jd per lb, New foiland beef—Foiequarters are wWh. Bjjd per lb, hindquarters 4fd per lb.
