A freak of nature In the shape of a diminutivo rabbit with eight legs has been sont to us by a subscriber at Langdale. The specimen is both young and small, and, as our correspondent appro; priately observes, it js rather a funny looking thing. Still we will take his word for it, and believe, without too close an examination, that the eight logs are there. Up to the present, the ordinary commonplace rabbit wich four pedal extremities has quite satisfied our humble requirements, so we do not feel exactly disposed to welcome the newcomer or make any fuss about it. Yet, as a cuiiosity, in the embryonio stage, he may have some value, so we wi'.l' Bend him along to our BoientiOo friend, th 9 curator of the Masterton Museum, and he can be put up in picklo on a top shelf there for the little boys to look at, A first offender charged at the Maiterton B.M. Court .this morning with having to freely imbibed on Saturday evening last, was dealt with in the usual wanner,
