The j/l/eek's Market Report, Mastemon, 16th Septembor. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report on the produce markets for tbe week as follows:

WooL,-By the San Francisco mail to hand on Monday last, account sales reaching us are unsatisfactory, chiefly as regards extra coarse and small clips, the latter especially when of inferior quality being muoh neglected, whilst finer crossbreds and halfbreds have held their own to much better purpose, Pellmongered wool has also suffered considerably, and local operators must have kit tbe decline keenly. We arejust in receipt of advice from .London regarding the sales which opened on tlio 13th instant, to following effect, viz;— The wool sales opened this day at tbe level of last sales, except for faulty Bcoured and coarati crossbred, for which tbe market is easier. Tlio attendance of both Home and foreign buyers is good, and competition on French account is active. Tho total quantity available, including wool held over from last seiies, is 890,000 bales, 59,000 of which have been forwarded to the manufacturing districts direct. Sheepskins. -Tbe usual lots have been disposed of by our Wellington House during the week at prices somewhat as follows:—Butcher's crossbreds from 4s 3d to 4s 9d for best, 3s Gd to 4s 3d for medium, and country dry skins from Bld to Gd per pound,

Tallow and Fat.—The market is without alteration, at the following prices:—Prime tallow 18s to 20s, fair to good 15s. to 17s and rough fat 12s to 18s Cd per cwt, Our last London cable dated 10th inst. reads as follows:—Market is firmer, fine mutton is worth £26 15a, and good beef £2l per ton. Oats.—Eemain without quotable alteration and we expect quotations to be as at present for some time to come, We have recently quitted large lines at from 2s 3d to 2s 4d per bushel for good bright short feed, ex ship. Wheat.-Little doing, and no improvement in prico to report. We are selling at 2s 6d to 2s 8d per bushel at Wellington. Chaff.—Orurent quotation for good often sheaf is £8 10s, ex trucks Wellington, sacks returnable. Ghass Seeds,—Prices last quoted by us still hold good, Cocksfoot is but little sought after. Frozen Meat,—Our London manager cabled on 10th inst, as follows ; Mutton market quiet; beef market firmer. Canterbury mutton is worth ■1 l-Bih penny and Wellington mutton 3 l-Bth penny per lb, Now Zealand beef-hindquarters is worth 5 5-Btbs penny and forequarters 3fd per lb,
