Mr Pownall for tbe plainiifF Judgment for the amount olain t. with 6s costs, A BAD SPEC. Phillip Juno claimed from Charles Colber tbe sum of £2 for money lent. It appeared that Collier was foingto tbe Wellington raoes and Juno banded bim £2 for investment, £1 of which was to be put on Violence and £1 on Revolution, If eitber borae won, £8 was to be put on one ofthem in tbe second race, This was done, Violence having paid a dividend in the first race of £4 16s, Four tickets were afterwards taken on Revolution and one on Violence, but neither horse won. The plaintiff maintained that he only authorised tbe defendant to back Revolution -&wice. Judgment was given for the defendant. FAILING TO MJORT HIMSELF, Patriok Kearney was charged for a second time with failing to report bim. self to the Probation Officer as required by the Court. He pleaded that he bad no money to travel by train, and tbat be had forgotten to call, on the police, He was again admitted to probation for a month, and ordered to report himself twice during tbat time.
