THE ALLEGED POISONING AT KUMARA.
Theory for the Prosecution. (united press association.)
Hokiiika, September 5, The Supremo Court was occupied all day on the Conlon alleged poisoning caße. Most of tho evidence up to 6.30 p.m was similar to that given at the Magisterial enquiry, but special paiuß were taken to bring out points showing the likelihood or not of the poison being purchased to kill rata; also that Conlon had arranged to' move to another house some diutanco away. Tho theory of the prosecution, as shadowed by the Crown Prosecutor's address, is that the accused was very fond of a man named Stringer, whgkd paid for her board and promiWto marry her. Finding herself enciente, she married Conlon to sityc her reputation, and then poisoned him to get rid of him. The Court is silting to-night.
