A considerable stir was made in Strata ford on Thursday last by the arrival, in custody, of H. Greenroyd, who left the district hurriedly on one Sunday morn* ing last summer, after drawing the final payment on a building contract on which lie had been engaged in partnership with Messrs Ashwin and Oallaghan. His partners charged him with embezzling the money of the firm, and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
