' The Court of Appeal this morning fixed £4200 as the sum for which security should bo given in the A ppeal to tho Privy Council, in the oasa of Robertson v. Howden and others.
The police had nine suspicious characters, including three women, before tho Magistrate's Court this morning under the Vagrant Act, sentences of from one to threo months being imposed, The Bench of Justices approved of .the action of the police, and regretted that longer sentences could not ae given. *At the inquest.on the body of Frederick Wilson, killed on the railway, a verdict of temporary insanity was returned. Wilson is believed to be an assumed name, as the deceased olten declared his father was Canon of St, Paul'S) London.
