MrD, Crewe's Sales.
Mr 1). Crewe reports that at hiu furniture and tree sale at Eketahuna on Friday, the 12th instant, all lines as advertised came to hand. The attendance was good, bidding was spirited, and good prices were realised throughout, The consignment of treos seemed too largo for the district, a few being left unsold. At the stock sale on Saturday, 13th instant, there were about sixty head of cattle yarded. The attendance was good, but there was a rather limited number of actual buyers, which Mr Crewe considered was duo to the entries being forwarded too lato to advertise, The greater portion of the stock yarded was, however, quitted at the following prices: -2| year old steers, £8 14s; 2 year old steers, 65b ; yearlings, 32s 6d; dairy cows, 60s to 82s fid; good dairy cows, £5 5s to £5 10s. Horses: demand dull,
Mr Crewe strongly impresses upon intending sellers the advisability of sending in their entries early, so that they may appear in his stock sale list and'bo attract buyers.
Mr Crowe's noxt stock sale at Eketahuna will be held on Saturday, September 3rd.
