Hastweli,, August 15th,

Glorious weather is being experienced here, and the grass is growing rapidly. Otherwise things are very dull, Work is more scarce this winter than it has been for years past, very little bushfelling being done.

A tea-meeting and concert is to be held at the Hastweli school-room on the 27th inat. in aid of the Rev. Mr Olu'istensen. Tea will commenco at six o'clock and the concert at 7,30 p. ra. This is tho first event of the kind held in Hastweli, and judging by the energy displayed by the Committee it should be a great success
