Haweba, August 11,1892. The largest stock sale that we have had for some time past ps held in the Glover-road yards, Hawora, on Wednesday, the 10th met. Though our entry of cattle fell a little short of what was expected, still there were uaarly 600 head yarded, and our sheep entries exceeded the numbers advertised. Buyers were present in plenty, and bidding was consequently very spirited for every line offered, so with the exception of'one pen of cattle mid the lot of Napier ewes (whioh were passed in at 16s 6d) everything was sold under the hammer at prices rauoh in favour of tho vendors. We quote; Fat bullocks, £6 19s; forward bullocks, £5 5s to £5 9s; 2J to 8 year old steers;'Jß4 Is to £4 l?s18 months to 2 year stivers, £3 1 fid to £3l9s; 12 to 18 : months mixed cuttle, ■£29sGd to £8) weanere, £l4a to £1 12s 6d; milkers, springing, £llss to £6 2s 6d; 'heifers, springing, L 3 16s toL4los; [2 'to 18 months tieifor's L2 6s to L 2163, Sheep; Fat wethers Is 9d to 15s.
