ACCIDENT TO A WEDDING PARTY.
A Sad Termination,
The wedding of Mr Falloon to Miis Alice Bayner, daughtor of a welU known Taratahi sheep farmer, was celebrated nn Tuesday. In the afternoon some of tfao bridesmaids and • friends went for a drive to Cartertpp. One buggy contained Mr Tbomai - Bayner, and Miss Eayner, brotjier and sister of the bride, Miss flaskin, Miss MaryDaysb, and a little three? yeaivolt) Jljss Comptun. On passing dip Cartel ton Post Office, the horse suddenly shied and swerved frpp jts course, frightened at a wjijtercoveretj Vehicle containing hawker's goods, One of tho A'heols appeared to Btrike he kerbjng, and the horse, bounding forward, gave the buggy a swing, which sept jt over, and all the occik pants were pitched out pell-raelF, The driver, Mr Tom Rayner, stuok pluckily to the reins, and ran the bor6e into n fence wiilnn 800 yards of the sceno of the nctidenl. Meanwhile two or Ihree bystanders who had witnessed the capsize ran to render assistance to the girls. Odo of them, Miss Daysh, appeared to be hurt seriously, and she was carried into Mis Lundqm'st's house close by. Dr Johnston was sent for, and arrived witliin ten minutes. An examination of the injuries proved that Miss Daysh had received ncompound fracture-' of(i theleft leg below the'kriee. 'The'dootbf'" pu't a tempptary dreeing' op' the ipjured limb, and the invalid was' veye'd to her hope in a waggonette.
