(By Diogenes,) ' The Secretary of tho Wairarapn Rugby Union has received a communication from the Bush Union with reference to the plaji.ig of a representative match at Pahiatua before tho close of tko>-season, It will bo ro« membered that a Bush team visited Mastcrton last year. The Secrotary of tho Wairarapa Union informs mo that the Senior Cup match, Masiorton v. Greyiown Rivals, has been fixed to be played nn Saturday next. In view of the match Married v. Single to bo played at Greytown, howover, it is extremely i. improbable that tlm Southerners will together a team, and the match 'will therefore go hy default. At a meeting of tho Canterbury Rugby Union the other evening it was resolved " That a letter be sent to the New South Wales nnd English Rugby Unions repudiating any connection with the New Zealand Rugby Union, and that a letter be sent to the Oiago Union endorsing their opinion iu tho matter."
