A Cheek on Boycotting.
London, July 21. In the Chancery Division to-day jtho flou Sir A, Kekewich, Justice, made an order preventing the Trades Federation from boycotting non-Union lirms. A crisis is threatened in the lancasbire cotton trade, owing to t! e reduction of wages and the increase of hours.
Sydney, July 22. The annual report of ibe Trades and Labour Council shows tliat financially it has been somewhat crippled, but that it has been able to meet all obligations ne they fell due, The hope is expressed that, wit.li inorea-ed loyalty it will regain its floitriiihiiie condition, At the close of the last half-year there were 85 societies affiliated to the Council, and since then two have been admitted, while seven hare seceded and thirteen become defunct.
