A meeting of tho Gas Committee of the Masterton Borough Council was held last night, there being present Crs. Feist (in tho chair), T. Dixon, \V. Perry and tho Mayor. The only business was the presentation of the gas manager's report, which was approved as read,
Mr Joseph Reardou, stoker at the Masterton Gas Works, has been con» fined to his bed for the last three weeks, and is still unable to get about, Work at the new gas holder has been temporarily suspended owing to bad weather, There is no immediate hurry with the workjust now, as the push of gas making is over for this winter.
