CHARGE OF INDECENT ASSAULT.
A Fine of £lO. By Telegraph-Own Correspondent. Gretcown, Monday, Charles Tilyard was oharged this morning before Messrs H. A. Wakes lin, H, H. Jackson and Dr Bey, Justicos, with.having indecently assaulted Miss Nellie MoMaster. Mr Acheson appeared for the prosecution and Mr Pownall ior the accused, who. pleaded guilty. The Bench eleoteStp deal summarily with the case, and treated it as a common assault.. No witnesses were examined, The ac«" cuaed \m severely wprimanded and fined £lO, to be ■ paid within one month, or (wo months' hard labor in the Wellington Terrace Gaol. Ho' was also ordered to sign an apology, to be published in the Wairarapa papers.
