TOWN BOARD.
The monthly meeting of the Fcatberston Town Board was held yesterday. Present—Meesrs J. G, Qox (chairman), J. Ijomdd, W. G'undy and \Y, Buckeridge. The minutes of the previous meeW . ing were read and confirmed. It was resolved thatgravel be placed in front of Mrs Walker's shop and a kerbing around the shop of Mr W. Benton. Mr J, Viles requested that the footpath in front of his house be tiled to as it was in a very bad tipn. ' Tilt 'J! Beel requested that a few loads of gravel be put oh the fodtpftth in front of his cottage in Daniel-St. Jjlr W. : Cundy moved that two street lamps'be erected M Hunter's crossing and one at the Bank of N.Z. crossing, After much discussion it was resolved to leave the matter till next meeting. Mr J. Donald suggested that Is or Is Gd per,day more be paid to carters, who use broad tires, in order"'to' encourage, the use ot these tires to prevent;tho roads from being cut'up.
