OUTBREAK OF SMALLPOX.

A Coffee Palace Quaiantined, ' (United Press Association.) i Sydney, June 19. Arrived— R.M.S. Oroya, From London, She had been admitted to pratique in Adelaide and Melbourne, She bad a full passenger' list for various ports, and cases of smallpox were discovered on the vessel after all the passenger:, with the exception of six booked for New Zealand, had disi persed. It is believed thai/ another oase occurred on the voyage, but tbe patient was convalescent before arrival in Australian walois. Efforts are being made to get hold, of those of the passengers who landed before the vessel was quarantined. June 20. One person suffering from smallpox, left the Oroya at Melbourne. The disease was then in the fifth day stage. The patient was staying at the Victoria Coffee. Palace, when the nature of the disease was discovered and tbe building has been quarantined, A girl, who was nearly convalescent, when the steamer reached Australia, was also landed at Melbourne,'where it was found that she had been suffering from the some ..disease. The bouse where she is Btayisg has been isolated, A rigorous search is being made at the various ports whero the steamer touched for the passengers who have landed. It is alleged that the ship's doctor . treated those who were ill for eczema . and prickly heat.
