The Hon Mitchelson has resigned his position as Bteward of the Auckland Racing Club, and in his letter announcing tbia course be states that he has abandoned all hopes of the Metropolitan Club's purifying racing. It is believed that Mr Mitchelson bag resigned because of the result of the recent enquiry of the stewards into the in and out running of Stranger at tho Auckland Winter Meeting, the owner of the horse having- beon fleolaredfieebmble'ma,'!
