Mr John Murphy, the well-known footballer, who; was injured in the Athletio-Greytownmatch on the 24-th. ult„ is still confined to his bed, His
leg is in a bad state, and it will be some time before he is able to resume
his work.' In consequence of the ao»- :■ cident he has made up his mind to retire from the field. For some years •Ahe has been one of the best .backs in. the Athletio Club, who feel the loss of his services in the Championship ' matches.
