The annual meeting of the Masterton Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held in the Club Hotel yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon, the President, Mr A. W. Gave occupying the ohair. About thirty "members were present. " ' minutes. ~ ~ The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. COBBEBPONDENOE, •' - • ■ Messrs A. M'Leod and Blatchford wrote, -. tendering' their resignations as members of the Association,—The resignations were received with regret;
. Mr. ty. Nicholson, ,of Woodville, wrote, requesting information regarding the working of the Association, as it was intended to form an Association there. A communication was received from .Mr Hogg, M;H,R,, to the effect; that the Association would be 'forthwith, incorporated Mr Qawith asked if it was the wisb of the Society that a guarantee should be given ..by the Trustees' to' Mr M'Kehzie in the matter of the .new show ground.—Mr E. Meredith stated that the Association being incorporated the necessity for Trustees no longer existed.—lt was resolved.- to

The following new members were elected: -Messrs F. 0, Lewis, R, Q. Williams, E. Welch, B. Cade, J. Mackay, J. Thompson, H; Yates, 'W. iDalziel, and H. Moody.

J. Macara, J. Maoßae, J. Benall, T, W. Wardell and H. G. Williams were ballotted out of the General Commit;
tee, and the following elected to fil the vacancies—Messrs J. Btuokej A. W. Cave, V 7. Lowes, J. Harvej T.P.Lett,D.J.Cameron,B, Dagg junr. and J. Macara. BALANCE BHEET.
It was decided to hold another meeting on Saturday, June 18th, to receive the balance sheet and transact other business.
The meeting then adjourned,
