Sitting atH/lasterton.
A sitting of the Native Land Court was commenced in Masterlon this (Wednesday) morning before Judges O'Brien and Scannell, Mr Edwards wan presont as assessor, whilst Mr Puokey acted as interpreter. The sitting was held inconsequence of an appeal against the sub-division ol the Okurupeti Block, at To Ore Ore, About eixty Natives are interested ip the Block, which contains a little over 5000 acres,
The appeal was brought by the Wi Waka, Martin and Karaitiana parties against tbe sub-division, Mr J, Sinclair (solicitor) represented tbe Wi Waka and Martin parties, but the Karaitiana party was unrepresented. Owing to tbe unavoidable absence of Manihera Maaka, the Native most directly concerned, the Court was adjourned soon after opening till ten o'clock to-morrow,
