An inquest was opened on Saturday at Geraldme in regard to the death of a boy, caused by some sort of poison. The
unly unusual substances be was known to have been eating were ico and btiar berries. Two older boys are laid up with similar Bymptoms, one of whom ato no ice, and neither of them any berries. yesterday, there being present Messrs Cundy .(Chairman), Reynolds and Hoddor. New licenses were granted to Mr F. Bilton (for the. Victoria Hotel) and MrWm.Buckoridge(for the Royal Hotel). A renewal of license was also granted to Mr James Smith (for the Empire Hotel). It was decided to recommend the appointment of Constable Smith as Clerk, and the meeting adjourned.
