Mr Tboinaß Walker, M.L.A. for f Northumberland, while under the influence of liquor, shot the Rev Mr Laaeron in a railway carriage on the Buburbau line, The wound is stated not to be dangerous, although the I i-'let has not yet been extracted, Mr Walker has been arrested, and at present it is not known whether the act was intentional.
