FEATHERSTON NOTES.
(From Our Own Correspondent.)
Last Wednesday morning Mr W. Bock, of featherstoo, on going to feed his fowls, found about forty purebred Plymouth Backs dead on the floor of the fowlhouse. Mr Bock was about to attribute this to ferrets when he discovered two retriovor dogs whose blood spattered hair pointed them out aa the depredators, With the help of the Registrar of Dogs Mr Book discovered the owner of theanimals and handed them over to him on his promise to keep them shut up at night.
Miss Kins has been appointed by the Board of Education to fill the place of Miss Payne, who resigned a short timo ago the position ofassi3tant mistress in the Featherston school,
The Licensing Committee for Featherston will hold a meeting next Monday. There will be nothing fresh brought up,
