The public in general are furnish" ing abundant material to help the Licensing Bench to come to a decision on the applications that will be laid before.it. With regard Id the publicans' application for an extension of the hours of licensing, a petition to the Bench asking it to refuse the request has been handed over to the Clerk of the Licensing Court, This petition is of a somewhat monster character, being sixteen feet in length and signed by nearly four hundred adults. Every profession and trade in Mastertob. (excepting the publicans) is represented] on the petition, and among the professions are no less tbao five ministers of religion.
