Palmersiuh Noßxn, Friday. Mr J. 0. Wilson, M.H.R., addressed a crowded meeting ot his constituents last night. He adversely criticised .th« taxation policy of the Ministry, pointing out instances of itß unfairness' He strongly oondemned the withholding of the freehold title, contending that the settlement policy must prove a failure unless settlers wero enabled to borrow on' the security of tbeir properties. He was frequently applauded during his speech. At the conclusion Mr Piram, the defeated candidato at last election, moved a vote of thanks to Mr VVilson and of confidenoo in tho present Ministry, This was lost by a majority three to one, An amendment of thanks and confidence in Mr Wilson was carried amid hearty and prolonged applause.
