PROGRESS IN THE BUSH.

Pahidtw County Ms, The following schedule has been , prepared by the Engineer of the Pahiatua County Council showing the total mileage of roads dealt with within the county to dote, the average coßt of the work and expenditure, and the mileage of roads yet requiring to bB formed and metalled to give acoees to all holdings:—Koads metalled to date, 65 miles; roads formed only, 57 miles; graded and cleared bridle tracks, 54 miles-total, 176 miles: roads not yet dealt with, 136 miles; approximate total mileage of roade within the county, 311 miles. Executed by Council since 1889— Roads formed and metalled, 401 miles j roads formed and not metallod, •18 miles; graded and cleared bridle tracks, 48 miles; total mileage of roads dealt with since May, 1889, 181| miles.
