DEFERRED THIRDS. Or Vile moved that the Minister having charge of the Lands Department be informed that a considerable amount of delay is being incurred by tho Land Department of this district: in giving effect to seotions 127 and 160 of the Land Act, 1884, and amendments thereof; that this Council has received no thirds for expenditure since November, 189]; that the whole of the thirds pai l over to the Government since July last are still held by them to the very great detriment of the aottlera who are requiring roads and tracks to give them aocess to their land j that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Hon the Minister of Lands and the member for this district-Seconded by Or Pinfold and carried. NOTICE TO STRIKE A HATE, The Chairman gave notice that he would move at next meeting of the Counoil that a general rate of one penny in tho pound be struok for the epsuing year, This being all the business the meeting adjourned,
