TO THE EDITOR WAIRARAPA DAILY TIMES, Sir,—Referring to your report of the proceedings of the Wairarapa North County Council in yesterday's issue of the Daily. Times, Mr T, P. Lett has called upon mo and i ve n an absolute denial to tho statement that bis horses have been permitted to stray on the County road, As I feel sure my informant would not have stated anything which was unsupported by facts, and that Mr Lett's denial may , bo relied upon with confidence, 1 OHn • only conclude that I misunderstood the nature of tho complaint, and express my regret that I should have been tho medium of giving publicity to a report which is evidently incorrect, The misunderstanding appears to have arisen from the fact that the report which reached me ffas to the effect that the Ranger was employed by Mr Lett as a driver, but to this statement M r Lett also gives complete denial.—l am, etc,, F, G.
