Annual Sail. Tho Annual Ball of the Red Star Football Club held in the Drill Hall . last night was, in spite of the unfavorable weather, a successful affair, the attendance being even larger than laßt year, although the sterner aex predominated in numbprs, The Hall to tastefully decoratejl with bannors and evergreens, while in prominent positions were placed photographs of the "Star" teams for some years past, Mnck care had been bestowed on the floor which was inexcellentoondition, and to the good musio supplied by ' Messrs Clifford, Winchester and Reese a lengthy programme was gone through. The fact that the ladv friends of the Club supplied the refreshments accounted for the inviting spread which was laid in the supper room, abundance of good things and to sparebeing provided. Great credit is due to Mr J, B, Emmett, the Secretary, and to the working committee 1 for the energetio way in which they worked to make 1 the affair the success it was. Necessarily, owing to the heavy rain, many country visitors who hid signified their intention of being present were disappointed and were forced to forego ■ a very pleasant' evening, Those, however, who did bravo the storm did not have cause to regret it.
