Committee Meeting.

4 meeting of the \Yorljg and Finunce Committee pf tbe Masterton Borough Council was held last (Mbn.' day) evening, there being present Cra Heron (in the chair), E,- E. Chamborlain, B. Ei, Gapper and Hessoy, The Overseer reported that he bad attended to cleaning the Bide drain in Sbortand Holdsworth streets. The stones had been rnked off Eenall street. Ten chains ot new footpath had made m Church street, All put down this season Iwiif been' fiqodod,' John* ston-street had , been repaired, and be was now working in Bannister, street. Colombo road had been finished by Mr Cavanagh, who! had started work on his contract in Dixon-slreet. He would recommend —That the ruts be Glled in.in Benallstr'eet; that! two boxes be put in in

Queert : street opposite Haskell's; that High-Btreet be repaired Irom Junction Bond to Kurupuni; that Queen-street be repaired from Kurupuni to the Pout Office; that Lincoln Road and Hnll-sireot be repaired; that Short, South, and Villa-streets, Railway Road, ,and other thoroughfares be attended to this winter.
