LAND BOARD.
, The monthly meeting of the Well* ington Laud Board was held «n Tliursday, there being present Messrs J, H. Baker, Chief Commissioner (in the ohair), W, W, McCardle, W. A, Fiteberbert, T. W. Fisher, and A. W. Hog?, M.H.R, The following applications to obtain titles were approved: —W, G. Syder, Makuri; T. Avery, Mangahao j J. F. T. Reimanii, Mangahao; H. Cornelius, Mangahao; J. Barron, Mangahao j W. Darrill, Mangahao jW. P. Hartabono, Manga, hao; J, Redman, Mangahao; R. Z, Davis, Mangaone. The following applications to transfer were approved: —rT, W, Hughes to J. J. Naismiih, Makuri; G, Walther to J, Walther, Mangahao ; W. Diffey to T. W. Wisliaw; P. Walsh to E. Jj. Mowbray, Mangaone, It was resolved to give Mr W. H. Wilson leave, to live On his brother's, section, adjoining, and to pass the.transfer of section. 1, block 9, Makuri, to Mr F. F, Hockley. Applications to capitalise were approved as follows ;-W, Darrill, Mangahao; W. G. Syder, Makuri; I', Avery, Mangahao; W. P. Hart* shone, Mancjakao; 0. Furnell; Mangahao ; H. Oroad, Mangahao; W Twcntyman, Mangaone, A. Murray asked to be allowed to select 220 acres adjoining his sections at Puketoi. Resolved to recommend Government riot to deal with the land pending a report from the surveyor as to what area he should be allowed to take up in oonseqiionee of an error at thefiratsale. It was resolved, to give Mr Guy Cooper time, until the end of next burning season, to complete improvements on his land at Makuri. The Board decided to issue a title to Mr S. Russell for a section in Mangrthao block, provided he proves that the improvements are effected. Mr J. H. Whitton wailed on the Board relative to the implements on his section in the Mangahao block, and it was resolved to approve of the transfer from Mr E, 0. Comer. The Board resolved to offer the public buildings reserve, Mangahao,. for lease at auction for .21 years at an upset rental of 10s per annum, Proposals by the Waitotara-Momohaki, Masterton, and Upper Wangnehu Road Boards for the expenditure. of accrued thirds were approved. Mr J. Saunders applied on behalf ot Mr F. Saunders to have the cancellation of section 2, block 3, Puketoi, reconsidered, oo the ground that ho was unable to get any tender for the bushfelling, The Board decided to ask him to furnish evidence on that point. A similar application was'mado by Mr W. I'. M'Grath relative to his section at Puketoi. Mr Burridje, owner of the adjoining section, objected to the cancellation being rescinded, as Mr M'Grath had neglected to fell the bush. The Board decided not to reopen the caße. Banger Tone reported on the improvements effected by Messrs M, J. and T. Hodgias, jun'r,, on seotions26 and 27, Mangaone. No action, Mr J. O'Connor waited on the Board relative to the cancellation of his interest in section 20, block 9 Mangaone, It was resolved to give him a month's notice to pay up arrears and produce proof that the necessary bushfelling has been let, The Board declined to reopen the case of Mr J, M, Miller, whose sec-' tion in the Mangaone blook has been forfeited. The question of rescinding the cancellation of Mr F, G. Moore, in section 4, block 13, Makuri, was deferred until next meeting. It was decided to rescind the cancellation'of Mr A, M'Oaul's interest in section 42, block 14, Makuri.
