k.The Prize List

There was a moderate attendance at the Chrysanthemum Show held in the Drill Hall last evening. The quality of the exhibits exceeded by far the expectations of the Committee, although numerically they were poor, In cut flowers the principal exhibitor was Mr James Stone, of the Waipoua Nursery, who carried all belore him. The besc specimens shown were the Madame Pigney, Edwin Molyneux, Jeanne D'Arc, Elaine, Emily Dale, and Val d' Andorra, Mv T. Dixon also made a good exhibit of cut flowers. Messrs Oaselbergand Parker took all the prizes in pot plants, A splendid display of blooms was raade by Mr F. Cooper, of Wellington, the incurves being really beautiful, whilst of other varieties there was a capital assort, meni'. Altogether the society is to be congratulated upon the success attending this, the first Chrysanthemum show held under itsauspices. In the evening the proceedings were diversified by musical renditions by Keiseoberg's String Band. The following is the
