• ■ The Nominations. The following nominations were receijej to-day (Wednesday) for the variouroib-divisions of the Masterton Road Board !- Sub-division No, 1. —Messrs Walter Harris and H. Holmes. Sub-division No. 2,—Messrs D, M'KenZie, J.' Stackey -and T, W. Wardell. Sub-division No, 8,-Mr W, H. Beetbam, In subdivision No, 2 only will there bo an election, the candidates for Nos, 1 and 8 being returned unopposed, ■ ''wmjffmni'' , At The Theatre Royal, "Billy"Barlow, perhaps the oldest and most popular favourite now playing before colonial audiences, opens for a short season of two nights in Masterton on Thursday next, All our exchanges speak in glowing terms of this veteran entertainer's per' ,' ~• formance, and despite his years he is as brilliant as ever. Mirthless indeed will tathe individual whose sides do iiot v a«B''loog • before Mr Barlow's entertainment concludes.
