THE FOOTBALL TOUR.
The Trip Sown. [By Telegraph,] (From our Special Reporter.) Christchuioh, Saturday. The Masterton Club football team left Wellington by the Takapuna on Thursday evening, and arrived at Lyttelton yesterday morning. The trip was exceptionally fine, the run down only taking fourteen hours. Owing to the number travelling, fetf of the team wore able to obtain berths, Christohurch was reached at 10.80 a.m., and tho afternoon was spent in doing the sights. At six o'clock this morning the whole team went out to Hagley Park, and some good practice was indulged in. They will probably go to the Trotting Eacea this morning, and will see the Poneke-Merivale match thia afternoon. To morrow they are to be driven round the suburbs. All the men are doing well, and should give a good account of themselves on Monday.
