Letters addressed by Deeming to the British Consul,in Monte Video, where lie was arrested for fraudih lently obtaining goods in England, have been discovered. lu' these he complained of the treatmont he received in prison, and threatened the British Minister wfth death unless he took steps to redress his grievance, Madame Tussaud has purchased Denharn Villa, in which Deeming committed his murders, and will re> erect at her exhibition the rooms connected with the crime. Melbourne, April 1. . The police have obtained evidence that Williams and the wife he is sups posed to have murdered at Windsor lived unhappily between the 18th and 24th of December. During, that space ■ of time the wife arranged to take a house- and,live by herself till she could return to Eogland.
