D.avyji' Blight Lights Comedy and Speciality Company, performed to a crowded house on Tuesday evening in Bketahnna, every item being well received, and Iho applmsß long and frequent. It is acknowledged to be the best oompany that.haa ovor visited our township. The quarterly meeting of tho Eketahuna WesJeyan Church wtwboldon Tuesday evening, tho itov W, J. Watkm, chairman. of tho district, presiding. All the office bearers were present, The report proSonted showed that the Church was greatly increasing under''the charge qf Mr Smith. /Tho stewards reported an increase of\Ls in the oolleotiona for the quarter, It was decided to ' apply to the home mission fund for a farther grant. Mr Jones, superintendent of the Sun. day School, reported t'ie school to be steadily increasing, It was decided that Mr.Smlth should remaiu id the district, and that special efforts should be put forth to raise the amount of £2O cut down from the home -mission fund.; This being all the business, the meeting closed.
