Upper Taueru Road Board.

The ordinary meeting was held on Saturday, March 6th, 1892. Present —Messrs .0. E, Oockburn-Hood (Chairman), J. Hacßae, and J. Eutherfui'd. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed, There was no correspondence, i Messrs J.J, Wilton and Pouisen , waited on the Board requesting thai the roadman mightbe sent as promised , sotno time ago to make' their track j available for wheel traffic. Mr C, Lang waited on the Board [ asking that the ucorucd fourths from , his section and the Bection adjoining him might be spent in forming a bridle track from the Bideford end of the Mnngerai Eoad line to Mr 1 MoGovern's section, end that the Board would make a further grant of the roadman's services to complete the work after this money has been spent, Most of the settlers on the Mnngerai line of road attended the meeting to support this application,. Mr G, McKay waited on the Board requesting the servioes of the roadman to forma bridle track from Mr Wakeliu'a to his section about 80, chains, Mr Kelly attended and requested the services of the roadman to bridge the crossiug over the Mnngerai lead l ! ing to Ins section, or offering to do the work himself for the sum of £2; RESOLVED. That the action of the Chairman in authorising the roadman to obtain assistance in metalling a portion of the Wai-nui-o-mapu road be confirmed, That the roadman be authorised to retain the services of the man now assisting him, for five weeks, and for the tint fortnight to proceed with the work for Messrs Wilton and Pouisen; and the remaining three weeks to be spent in forming the bridle traok up the Mungerai line, That the applications of Messrs MoKay and Kelly be furtherconsidered at the next meeting, as the roadman's services have already been promised for five weeks, Accounts amounting to £2O lls .7d were passed for payment. The next meeting of the Board was fixed for the first Saturday in April,
