ALFREDTON LICENSING BENCH.
Quarterly Kooting;. Tho quarterly meeting of the Altredtou Licensing Conimitteo wan held yesterday in the Eketahuu* Road Board office. Present Messrs Alex, Anderson (Chairman), B, Syverson, and W» J. Saunders. A communication from the Wairarapa North County Council was received, pointing out that thelioonso feo paid by S. M. (Jcorgo of Alfredton, was not sufficient to pay . the travelling expenses of the residing at Alfredton, It was ff decided to reply to tho Coiinty Counoil " to the effect that each member represented the whole of tho district, ■ from, which license fees, were obtained, and further that- tlio Licon> sing Committee was the body appointed to regulate the fees. The police report on the houses was favourable, no complaints boing lodged against any hotel. Ail application was made by Messrs Nordcll aud Johnston on behalf of tbe Eketahuna Oddfellows for a condb tional license for a booth at the tSt, Patrick's Day Sports. The applicition was granted. This boing all tbe business the meeting adjourned,
