Tapper, of Pal mors toil North, who was charged under the - Bankruptcy Act on two indiotmenta of fraudulent removal of property. The Judges had on Saturday expressed tho opinion that tho accused should not be proceeded against, as he had already been acquitted on the same charge, and tho Crown Prosecutor said in face ol that opinion he would withdraw tho iudiotments against Tapper. Judgo Richmond remarked that thpre had possibly been a miscarriage of justico in this instance, owing ft a defect in tho Bankruptcy Act, which provides for tho punishment of bankrupts in a summary way.
