The various sites wero visited daring the daytime, and in the evening a deputation waited on the Minister, The proceedings eventually took the shape of a public meeting, at which Mr W. W. McCardlo presided, The" Chairman prefaced his iatroduction of Mr Cadman by pointing out that the, majority of the inhabitants desired tbe Post Office to be in as central a position as possible. The Hon Mr Cadman said he would be glad to answer any questions on the matter before the meeting that might be put to him, upon which he could throw light, Mr J.
