HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
Autumn show,
Tho autumn show of the Masterton Horticultural and Industrial Sqciety, to be held in the Drill Hall on Tuesday and Wednesday, 28rd and 24th February, promises to. eclipso any thing of the kind before held in the district. The Committee are confU dent that their decision to hold tho show on two days will meet with tho favour of both exhibitors and public, and are making most extensive and oompleto arrangements. The preservation of exhibits is being specially studied by the Committee, and wire netting is to be placed- in front of tho fruit stage. The season for both vegetables and fruit has been a good one, whilst indoor and outdoor flowers never looked better, The public has responded well to the canvas for special prizes,'a list of which appears in our advertising columns, and this should be an extra inducemehji to gardeners and orchardists to convpete.
