FATAL ACCIDENT.
Eilloiby too Fall of a Loer[By Telegraph,] (From Our Own Correspondent,) Eketahuna, Wednesday. A fatal accident occurred here at about eleven o'clock this morning, A man named John Poiterman, a resident of the Pabiatua Village Settlementi was working in the Deep Creek at Newman, when a log he was cut-, ting broke, a branch striking him on the back, When discovered by his mates, who were camped oloseby, 'lie man was quite dead, It is thought is broken. Deceased is a man. The inquest willprob* ably not be held till to-morrow, Constable .Roche being away in tbo Tiraumea.
