THE POISONING CASE.
The Inquest, Adjourned for a Wook. [By Telegraph,] (Our Own. Correspondent.) Pahiatua, Friday, The inquest in the poisoning case was resumed last n'ght at seven o'clock. Inspector Thomson stated that owing to the intervention of the holidays tho Government analyst did, not receive the stomach and intestines of the victims, and twenty-four samples of food, until Tuesday last. An exhaustive analysis was necessary which would take time. The attendance of several witnesses still in the hands, of the doctors would have to bo secured, and they could not attend, He would therefore apply for an adjournment, The Coroner thought that under the circumstances it would be unwise to take any further evidenco in the interests of justice, so the inquest was further adjourned Until Thursday, the 21st iust, at 10 a.m.
