Oommitteo Mootinss. A meeting of the Works and Finance Committees of the Masterton Borough Council was held last even - ing, there being present Crs Heron (in the Chair), Mutrie, Qapper, Hes Scy and E. E. Chamberlain, The Overseer reported that the i principal work done sinco the last {meeting had been the cutting and burning of gorse and the cleaning and tarring of the. W-tey tables where required. A last ooat of asphalte U«d been laid in front of the Princo of Wales Hotel, and the footpaths repaired where broken up for tho purpose of laying surface pipes, Aa much work as usual had not been done owing to sickness among the staff.
