Francis Hearling, aged 50, a wharf turncock in the employ of the City Council was iound dead in the haroor this morning having committed suicide in a most determined manner. had tied his feet and hands together and thrown himself into the water, tying himself to the wharf ste ms at the same time. He was a native of Denmark and an old seafar ing man. His accounts were considerably difficient. This is probably the cause of suicide. EW ZEALAND RMLWAYS. WELLINGTON SECTION. For distances of more than 20 miles ordinary return tickets will be issued as usual. Note.—Where there are no trains running on the day Return tickets expire, tickets will be available for the next train. Excursion tickets (available for return on day of issue only) will be obtainable on Boxing Day, 26th December, 1891, Monday, 28th December, 1891, and New Yeara'a Day, Ist January, 1892, as tinder:—
