It any of our farmers desire to learn something ot the value of lime as a fertiliser (says the Clutha Free Press) we should recommend them to pay a visit to any of the farms on the Toko Plain that hare been limed, when they will see that thft fertility of the soil has been greatly enhanced. Sorrel, which used to take possession of the fields, has disappeared, luxurhnt grass has taken its place, and the i;rain yield has been in many cases doubled. Profiting by the experience of thoir neighbours, the farmers are one affctr another taking to lime, and at the present time several plots of land may be Been dotted over with heaps of lime ready for spreading. In good time, let us hope, the infection like La Grippe will spread till all the farmers use lime freely.
