The Caledonian Sports.

[To the Editor.] Sib.—l would like to make a suggestion to the Caledonian Sports Committee in referenoe to the arranging of their programme. Aa there are many competitors who do not run merely for the sake of winning money, but for the love of if, I think it would encourage a larger number to compete if, instead of all the money being expended a few medals suitably inscribed added. These medals would not cost a great deal, and would be much valued by the winners when their running time was a thing of the past.—l am, etc, An Intending Compmttub.
