A cricket match was played at the Greytown Recreation Reserve on Saturday lowt between the second teams of Carterton and Greytown, resulting in an easy win for the Greytown team. Twelve tickets, numbering; from 169 to 180, for the anniversary tea in connection with the Masterton Wesluyan Sunday School, have been lost. Any person returning them to Mr Gillespie at the Post Office w\ll be rewarded, , The funeral of the late Rina Hori Taha (Ltly Stuart) took place at Greytown yesterday. Her remains were followed by a large number of natives from all parts. She was buried as the private cemetery of her family. The funeral service was conducted by the Rev £. H. Wyatt. We have received from Serjeant-Major Bezar, of Dunedin, a small volume entitled "Some Kermnisconoes of the ' Die Hards' (57th West Middlesex Regiment)," in which is contained a number of exciting incidents which occurred In the writer's li'e during a tervioe of considerable length in tho famous regiment mentioned.
