A Massey reaper and binder will bo exhibited at the forthcoming show of the Wairsrapa and East Coast Pastoral and Agricultural Society by Mr F. H. Wood, the Wairarapa aqent. Mr Von Stunner, K.M., paid a flying viiit to Masterton to-day. Th« firm of Messrs T. Kennedy Mac donald and Co., the well known auctioneers of Wellington, has been converted into a joint Btock company under the Companies Act.
Judgment was given for the plaintiffs this afternoon in the case Picturesque Atlas y. Graham, for £7 and £8 Ca costs.

The Mutual Life Association -of Australasia has increased its limit of assurance for first class lives from L3OOO to LSOOO. Some considerable excitement was caused in Greytowu on Saturday morn iaw lost, by the vagaries ofa young, gay, anri festive horse, which was attached to a small single seated buggy, occupied by Dr Bey and bis groom. Soon after leaving the Dr's residence, this quadruped ovinced a tendency to shy, and en receiving a gentle reminder from the whip, immediately set to work to deniolitih the buggy, and introduce his heels to the bead of the individual who hod presumed to correct him, The occupants, however, dodged the heels, and kept their seats till the front ot the buggy was smashed in, and then, thinking it wiser to viotv the scene from a distance, eesayod to jump out, both landing on the ground in a horizontal position, but beyond a few bruises and outs, not seriously hurt. The horse, without staying to bid them adieu, con-, tinued his course as if going a dead heat for the Derby, and coming in contact with a post opposite the Investment office, cleared himself of tho buggy and harness, but was stopped opposite Jones's Hotel.
